In July of 2015, ZALIG Team (under Opus Stewart Weir & Co. Ltd.) completed a geotechnical site investigation & report for the above-mentioned development Greenview, AB on the behalf of Pembina Pipeline Corporation. The project included the construction of large diameter tanks, and pipeline leading to another facility.
The purpose of the geotechnical investigation was to determine and evaluate:
Subsurface soil profiles and their geotechnical characteristics
Groundwater and sloughing conditions
Settlement analysis
Field and laboratory investigation results for:
design and construction of foundations for the building office
design and construction of foundations for the proposed tanks
design and construction of the proposed roads and rail spurs
Considerations for frost heave protection and erosion control

Consolidation Test ASTM D2435-90
